NTWH became an open door that allowed me to prove myself both as an actress with a visual disability, and as a person making a dream come true.
- Simone McLaughlin, Ireland
NTWH offers a variety of courses in Theatre at its Crosby Campus in Belfast, Maine, located on Penobscot Bay on the Maine coast. The waterfront, two blocks away, is visible from the campus. Sailing, Kayaking, and boating are all offered during the summer study program. All aspects of the Summer Study Programs have been designed to be completely accessible for persons with disabilities and welcoming to the able-bodied as well. Courses not only take advantage of the specially designed Crosby facility but also integrate natural and cultural experiences available in the surrounding area into the program.
NTWH offers generous scholarships to its students who meet eligibility requirements. The Work Study Program is designed to allow students to participate in their scholarships by giving back to the school. Each morning students are assigned to work study stations, where they are expected to work together to maintain their living and study spaces at NTWH-Crosby.
